About Us
AHA is the energy efficiency wing of JMEvans Construction, a construction company with over 25 years experience in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Several years ago, noting the absence of any BPI accredited contractors working in energy efficiency in New Mexico, JM Evans decided to train staff and develop business and work practices to attain the BPI Accredited Contractor status – the highest national accreditation for residential energy efficiency. With this dedicated focus, we have developed protocols and work standards to ensure that you, the homeowner, benefit the most from energy efficiency work done while at the same time ensuring the safety of you and your home.

Amanda Evans heads AHA. Amanda is a certified HERS rater (RESNET), BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Professional and certified energy auditor by CMC Energy Services. She is the Chair of the Santa Fe Historical Green Remodel Code Committee and on the Green Residential Remodel Code Committee, helping rewrite city codes to encourage more sustainable building practices. Amanda is the BPI Building Analyst Instructor at the Santa Fe Community College and is a certified written and field testing proctor. She is also the  RESNET HERS trainer at SFCC. Amanda is on the Board of Trustees for the Santa Fe Area Homebuilders Association. Amanda is is committed to high quality, honest assessments of your home energy needs and uses.

AHA is on a mission to take New Mexico homes into a new era. We believe that for too long, homeowners have put up with cold, unhealthy, inefficient homes. We take a whole house approach to solving energy problems and offer an integrated and optimized solution for customers.
